More About the Level Up Your Lawn Pilot Program
In 2022, Clean Rivers Coalition was awarded EPA grant funding to create pilots evaluating the efficacy of two pesticide use behavior change programs – the Level Up Your Lawn campaign and Latine Landscaper training program. Check out the presentation below for more information on the goals of each pilot and the successful strategies identified in the Level Up Your Lawn campaign. The strength of these pilots has led to a planned expansion of both initiatives in 2026-2027.
More About the Research Guiding Our Work
In order to develop a strong foundation for the Follow the Water Campaign, in 2019 the DHM Research Firm was enlisted to assess Oregon residents’ connections to rivers, streams, and lakes; perceptions of insecticides, herbicides, and fertilizers; and willingness to change their lawn care behaviors. The results from this survey have informed the development and target audience of Clean Rivers Coalition’s Follow the Water and other campaigns, in an effort to make our outreach as effective as possible.
